What we look for
Lookalikes. We compare the domain against well-known crypto brands using edit distance after normalising confusable characters (0→o, 1→l, rn→m, Cyrillic а→a and others).
Punycode. Domains starting with xn-- are decoded to show the characters a browser may render. Mixed scripts are a classic homograph trick.
Structure. Raw IP hosts, @ in the URL, deep subdomains, URL shorteners, plain http and bait words like "claim", "airdrop" or "verify" all raise the risk.
